5 Days Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Start your day with a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya’s famous game reserve. You will be in a private safari vehicle. You will stop briefly enroute at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of the largest Valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at your camp in Masai Mara in time for lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts at around 3.30pm, allowing spotting of the amazing wildlife in the reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will have an option two game drives or have a full day game drive one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch, one in the morning, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your game drive timings are flexible, convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. choose to  at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Leave Masai Mara and head to Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake which is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike. Arrive in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure – the lodge we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs. You may also choose to book a one hour Lake Boat Safari at extra cost during which you get to see some of the lake’s wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast in Naivasha, head to Lake Nakuru National park. Lake Nakuru is not only a Unesco World Heritage site but also a Bird & Rhino sanctuary where you also get to see Lions and Leopards amoong other wildlfe species. You will arive Nakuru by midday and proceed to your booked accommodation for lunch. You will later embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to view points which offer superb photo opportunities.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Have an early morning game drive which will conclude your Safari tour. Later have breakfast and check out headed bacck to Nairobi with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Onward drop off transfer to the JKIA for your flight home or drop off at your overnight hotel.
