6-Days Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your Driver-Guide will pick you from your hotel and depart for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, at the foot of the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro which dominates everything in sight with spectacular scenery. See the amazing wildlife, particularly the elephants, during the afternoon game drive.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

You will be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning  and another in the late afternoon after lunch. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your game drive timings are flexible, convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. You may also choose to have a full day game drive with a packed picnic lunch.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Depart after breakfast for Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake which is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike. Arrive in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure – the lodge that you will be booked offers beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs. You may also choose to book a one hour Lake Boat Safari at extra cost during which you get to see some of the lake’s wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, the safari now heads to Masai Mara. Arrive at your camp in Masai Mara for a leisurely lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts at 3.30pm, allowing spotting of the amazing wildlife in the reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest. Our Driver-Guide will try his best to show you not just the ”Big Five” animals but as many wild and birdlife as he can.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara

We’ll get up early to view the first golden light and the stirrings of the park’s wildlife. Today, we’ll enjoy maximum viewing with unlimited game drives across the vast savannahs. We’ll be tracking the big cats along with elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and the other 95 mammals found in this world-famous park. If you’re here during the Great Migration (July – October), you’ll encounter the most fantastic movement of animals on our planet. Thousands of zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest cross into the park over the Mara River on their timeless parade searching for taller grasses to consume.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast and check out. Proceed with return road transfer back to Nairobi with a brief morning game drive and brief stops along the way at the Rift Valley Escarpment. A lunch stop can be organize at your own cost. Arrive in Nairobi mid-afternoon. Onward drop off transfer to the JKIA international airport for your flight home or drop off at your overnight hotel.
