Masai Mara Migration Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met by Diurnal tours escort and transfer to your respective Nairobi hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure. Later in the evening, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to dinner at carnivore restaurant.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast at the Hotel before departing on a scenic drive down Mombasa road to Amboseli National Park. When you arrive, enjoy a leisurely lunch and then spend your late afternoon game viewing in this true gem of an area, nestled beneath the majestic slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Full Day Amboseli

Start off your day adventuring and exploring the stunning African plains with an early morning game drive. Afterward, refuel on a delicious breakfast before taking some time to unwind and enjoy the majestic views of Kenya’s Mount Kilimanjaro. This beautiful park is supported by the continual melting snows of Kilimanjaro, flowing underground into the area and providing a source of life for springs, swamps, and marshes. With its breathtaking scenery and bustling wildlife population boasting more than 50 different mammal species – including one of the largest populations of elephants in the entire world – it’s no wonder why this destination is so sought after!

Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast depart with packed lunches heading toward Lake Naivasha. Afternoon proceed to Lake Naivasha bird-watching and boat ride at the lake.  Although Lake Naivasha is not a national park in its own right, the beautiful lake has become a staple of Kenyan safaris. Lake Naivasha has become a popular stop along the most popular Kenyan safari routes. With its serene surrounds, an abundance of accommodation options to suit all budgets, and a variety of activities – Lake Naivasha is an especially good stop for those on a family safari.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Leave Lake Naivasha and commence your safari to Masai Mara Game Reserve with a stop at the Great Rift Valley view point. Here, you will have a breathtaking view of the picturesque floor of the Rift Valley. You will also spot the Mt Longonot from a distance.

Day 6 & 7: Full Day Masai Mara National

Morning and late afternoon game viewing drives in this Reserve, with spectacular scenery and diverse wildlife. Masai Mara Game Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world. But each year, from end of June to end of October, the best-known visitors arrive in full force. As the rains bring the grassland of the Masai Mara to life, the vast plains rumble with the thunder of approaching hooves as 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti into Maasai Mara.

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the camp, embark on your return journey to Nairobi. On arrival in the early afternoon, you will be dropped off at your Hotel or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight.
